What sports are included in the tournament?
The tournament includes athletics (track races), football, Rugby and 3×3 basketball.
How can I register for the tournament?
Participants can sign up online via our website or as shall be communicate via our social media channels.
What age groups are eligible to participate?
Registration is for 18years and above.
Are there any registration fees?
No. Registration is completely free for all individuals and teams.
What is the format of the athletics events?
The athletics events will be 100m, 400m, 800m, 5,000m, 10,000m races as well as 4×1 and 4×4 relays.
How many players are allowed in a football team?
Each football team can have a maximum of twenty five (25).
What are the rules for the basketball (3×3) games?
The basketball games will adhere to the FIBA 3×3 rules. Each team consists of three players, and the game is played on a half-court with a single basket.
Is there a limit to the number of teams that can participate?
The number of participating teams is limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to register early to secure your spot.
Are there any prizes for the winners?
Yes, there will be prizes for the top-performing teams and athletes. Details about the prizes are available on the website bingwafest.com.
Is the event open to the general public?
Yes, spectators are welcome and entrance will be FREE.
How do I qualify for the National Championships?
Basketball: Top 14 Teams from the Regions + 2 Top ranked teams
Soccer: 7 Regional winners + 1 host team
Rugby Men: 14 Regional finalists + 2 Host semi-finalists
Rugby Women: 7 Regional winners + 1 Host finalist
Athletics: Top 3 medalists from each region
Will I get playing kits?
Yes. The official Kit and game balls are provided by Betika.
Can I be tested for Drugs?
Yes. random anti-doping tests may happen. BingwaFest is a clean multi-sport initiative and ADAK (Anti-doping Agency of Kenya) tests athletes on a need to basis.
How do I get my prize money?
Athletics winners are paid directly by Athletics Kenya after Anti-doping test results.
All other athletes submit a copy of their certified IDs, bank introduction letters, and signed waiver forms for payment to be actioned by the organizer between 10-14days.
